Five acoustic guitar presets. Each one delivers the body resonance, wood character, and pick attack of a mic’d guitar, so you skip the mic bleed, phase problems, and hours on the channel strip.

A direct acoustic signal usually sounds thin and brittle. Miking the guitar in an untreated room adds boxy resonances and a harsh top end. These presets are built with impulse responses (IRs) from the free Acoustic IR database at acousticir.ovh, then dialed in EQ and dynamics for each one so they’re ready to record when you load them. You’ll find links to every IR pack we used in the download.

Use them on a live or in the studio. Perfect for adding variety to your acoustic sound or bringing life to a piezo pickup.

Five acoustic voices

The ’51 Vintage Dreadnought (built on a 1951 Martin D-18 IR)

Warm, punchy, and worn-in. It has the dry, even midrange and tight low end you hear on mid-century folk, bluegrass, and rock rhythm tracks. The harsh piezo snap around 3 kHz is gone, and the mahogany warmth comes through.

The Modern Studio Workhorse (built on a Taylor 714ce IR)

Clear and balanced, with a detailed top end. Use it for modern pop, contemporary worship, and fingerstyle parts where each note has to sit on top of a dense mix.

The Koa Compact (built on a Taylor GT K21e IR)

Focused, intimate, and rich in harmonics. The smaller all-koa body compresses the midrange naturally and gives a sweet, woody attack. It works well for delicate fingerpicking, indie acoustic leads, and quiet doubled parts.

The Celtic Giant (built on a Lowden O-25 IR)

Big and open, with plenty of headroom and bright overtones. We tuned it to the long, even decay of cedar over rosewood, so open tunings, percussive taps, and ambient passages keep ringing.

The Concert Nylon (built on a classical guitar IR)

Soft, rounded attack and warm body resonance. It tames harsh highs and gives you the close, warm sound that Spanish, classical, bossa nova, and film scoring parts need.
